The task

The client approached us to become the official translation partner in a large-scale EU procurement for localizing vocational learning modules for ERASMUS+ students into 28 languages. The timeframe was challenging—70,000 words in 2 weeks.

Approach

We immediately realized that completing the project within the time constraints would require extra effort in streamlining the process, so we prepared by learning all the project specifics while the source was still in preparation, and we agreed with the client to localize the material on a rolling basis.

This allowed the client to finish their materials while we got started on the approved content, localizing several batches simultaneously. That way, we gained an extra 3 weeks for the final delivery and more time for QA.

Result

Thanks to this restructuring, the project was finished on time, the client was satisfied, and we gained more experience in managing localization speedruns.

Other case studies:

This job had around 94,000 words of content per language and needed to be delivered in 4 weeks. The challenge was a lot of corrupt and improperly displayed content. This required some creative engineering on our side.

This job required us to process around 32,000 words and to produce 157 minutes of subtitles in 16 languages.

We took part in a milestone AI training project, where the goal was to make an AI capable of translating conversational language from Russian into English by means of analyzing and learning from human pre-translated tweets and articles.
